About the Podcast
The Disunion Podcast released its first episodes in January of 2026. Created by two lifelong Civil War Reenactors, Disunion aims to tell the stories of the Civil War you won't find in the textbooks. From food to regiments, people to places, and battles you have never heard of, we bring light to the stories that may have been forgotten. The Civil War was fought in thousands of places by millions of people, and each of their stories deserves to be told. Listen to Disunion, and you'll learn some of these stories.
Disunion also aims to promote the growth and improve the reputation of Civil War Reenacting throughout the country. Reenactors are a diverse group of people, and frequently consist of scholars, academics, and casual history buffs from all walks of life, all of whom share one thing in common - a desire to honor the memory of those who fought over 160 years ago.
